Engraved on the handcrafted rhodium-plated 18 K gold nib, the peace sign stands as a reminder of Lennon's effort to spread the peace message. The barrel made of precious black lacque resin with a ribbed surface is reminiscent of a vinyl record. The platinum-plated clip is in the form of a guitar neck and John Lennon's famous self portrait features on a platinum plated plaque as in the guitar's hole. The emblematic snow cap crowns the cap and the barrel end is embellished by a platinum plated cone.
